Henderson County Record Contacts

Henderson County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, certify a warrant, or pull an official booking record. Contact the agency that created or now holds the record.

Henderson Sheriff and Jail

The most current verified facility contact comes from the 2025 IDOC inspection. Use the main line to ask which office holds a booking record, photo, transfer entry, or current custody record.

Henderson County Sheriff's Department
248 Warren Street
Oquawka, IL 61469
309-867-4291
mlink@9thjudicial.org
Jail Administrator David Staley: dstaley@9thjudicial.org

The Illinois Sheriffs' Association directory lists P.O. Box 228, Oquawka, IL 61469 as a mailing address and carries a legacy 113 N. 4th Street jail address. The latest inspection lists 248 Warren Street and should control the current physical description. Reception hours, a separate records-unit line, and a local booking-photo fee were not published. Call before visiting or mailing a time-sensitive request.

Where to Look for a Record

Choose the contact based on the record and custody stage.

  • For a Henderson arrest report, booking fields, transfer entry, or booking photo, call the Sheriff at 309-867-4291 and send a narrow written Illinois FOIA request.
  • For current placement at Warren County Jail, use the Warren County Sheriff's Office route. Administration is listed at 309-734-8506 and non-emergency dispatch at 309-734-8383.
  • For a person whom Henderson confirms is at McDonough County, ask Henderson for the receiving custodian and then use that agency's current records route.
  • For a filed case, hearing, or disposition, use the Henderson County courthouse directory and its linked public case search.
  • For a state-sentenced person, use the Illinois DOC Individual in Custody Search. It is not a recent county-booking roster.
  • For federal custody, use the BOP locator when appropriate. For immigration custody, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator.
  • For city records, use Oquawka's dated village contact lead or Stronghurst's written request page. No verified Lomax municipal police contact was located.

The home page provides the full custody comparison and request wording. A record may remain with Henderson even when the person is held by a receiving jail.

Written Request Basics

Under 5 ILCS 140/3, a request should be in writing and use a delivery method the public body makes available. Name the person, arresting agency, date range, booking or case number if known, and exact records sought. Ask for electronic copies where feasible, and ask the agency to identify the custodian if it does not hold the current custody entry.

Request the arrest record, booking number, booking and arrest times, charges as booked, transfer or release record, and photo availability as distinct items. No Henderson-specific fee or response schedule was verified. State FOIA copy rules and lawful exemptions still apply. A partial response should identify the withheld material and legal basis.

City Contact Notes

Oquawka's older Village contact page lists 507 Schuyler Street and 309-867-3481, but no named police chief or current records line. Stronghurst's police page lists Chief Arbry Vancil and Village Hall / non-emergency number 309-924-1525. The village offers an open-records page and public-information form. Lomax has no independently verified public police page, address, or phone in the research.

Ask each city for the municipal incident report, then ask Henderson for the county booking record. They may be different files held by different custodians. A city contact cannot certify a receiving-jail status unless it holds that record.

Urgent or Safety Matters

Use 911 for an emergency. The Henderson Crime Stoppers and P3 Tips routes reported in local coverage are 309-867-6202 and 888-867-6202 for information, not custody confirmation. Do not approach a person named in a wanted notice. For a warrant question, contact the Sheriff, circuit clerk, court, or a lawyer.

For custody notifications, Illinois VINE may provide phone, text, email, or app alerts where the local system participates. It does not promise a photo and a missing result does not prove release.
